Sunset from The White House
A guest in the back garden on a sunny winters day! However, as Lochcarron is on the sea, snow never lasts. |
Some Recent Customer Feedback!May 2007 - 1 weekRM from Glasgow. "Perfect weather, wonderful warm house with fantastic views. Many thanks. We'll be back in September" May 2007 - 3 weeksPK from Weynouth. "Great house, fantastic views, good weather and the puddings at the cafe highly recommended!" June 2007 - 1 weekPM from London. "Probably our best holiday ever. House was excellent, people all so welcoming, scenery incredible, all just brilliant." Xmas / New Year 2007 - 1 weekFC from Brussels. "Remarkably good stock of wine in the local shop. Great heating in the house, spectacular weather viewed mostly through an alcoholic haze. A great break." February 2008 - 2 weeksDidn't expect the snow. Okay, Scotland, mountains, winter, but thought as I was on the sea, it wouldn't snow. Wow. Assured it was unusual but that was a lot of snow. House was toasty! March/April 2008 - 1 weekWonderful weather. Spent a day on the sands at Gairloch with the dogs, thinking WHY did we ever go abroad. June 2008 - 1 weekAn advantage of the rising fuel prices was EMPTY roads. No foreign tourists anywhere making driving on the single track remote roads quite fun. Did the VERY challenging over the mountains drive from Lochinver to Drumrunie in perfect weather, no caravans or mobile homes. Superb.
Actually, it's got almost embarrassing. From reading the guest book for last week, "Wonderful. Heaven must be like Scotland..."
